Schoolmaster snapper are designated as an "Ecosystem species".  These species are not subject to any federal management measures.

NoteEffective June 22, 2016, schoolmaster snapper have been removed from the snapper grouper management complex and federal regulations are no longer in effect for this species. Read FB16-034
