November 28, 2016: 
Written comments received by close of business the Monday before the meeting (November 28) will be compiled, posted to the website as part of the meeting materials, and included in the administrative record.  Please use the online comment form to ensure your comments get distributed immediately to Council.

November 29 - December 8, 2016: 
Individuals that wish to submit comments after November 28 must use the Council's online comment form. Comments will automatically be posted to the website and available for Council consideration. Comments received prior to noon on Thursday of the Council meeting (12/8) will be a part of the meeting administrative record.

Joint Dolphin Wahoo/Snapper Grouper/Mackerel Cobia Committee:

  • Dolphin & Yellowtail Snapper Allocations - The Council will continue to review the draft amendment that addresses allocation in these two fisheries.
  • For-hire Limited Entry - The Council will review an options paper outlining approaches for developing a limited entry system affecting fedearl for-hire permits in the snapper grouper, dolphin wahoo, and mackerel fisheries.

Snapper Grouper Committee:

  • Mutton Snapper Management - The Council will review the final draft of Snapper Grouper Amendment 41 that would implement several management measures for mutton snapper.
  • Red Snapper & Recreational Reporting - The Council will review options for managing red snapper and approaches for reporting in the private recreational sector that are being proposed in Snapper Grouper Amendment 43.
  • Visioning Amendments - The Council will review options for both recreational and commercial management measures in the snapper grouper fishery. Items being considered were identified as priority action items in the Council's 2016-2020 Snapper Grouper Vision Blueprint.

Mackerel Cobia Committee:

  • Cobia Fishing Year - Coastal Migratory Pelagics Amendment 30 has one action that will change the recreational fishing year for Atlantic cobia. The proposed measure would impact management of Atlantic cobia, which extends from the FL/GA border northward to NY.
