  • Dolphin Wahoo Amendment 10 (Revisions to Dolphin & Wahoo Management Measures)

Approval for Public Hearings:

  • Coastal Migratory Pelagics Framework Amendment 8 (King mackerel trip limits, season 2)
  • Snapper Grouper Regulatory Amendment 34 (NC & SC SMZs)

DEADLINES: 

September 9, 2019: 
Written comments (online and those submitted by mail/fax) received by close of business the Monday before the meeting (09/09/19) will be compiled, posted to the website as part of the meeting materials, and included in the administrative record.  Please use the online comment form to ensure your comments get distributed immediately to Council.

September 10 - September 15: 
Individuals that wish to submit comments after September 9 must use the Council's online comment form. Comments will automatically be posted to the website and available for Council consideration. Comments received prior to noon on Thursday of the Council meeting (09/19/19) will be a part of the meeting administrative record.

 

  • Formal Public Comment Session, Wednesday,September 18th beginning at 4:00 PM.

 

  • Red Snapper- The Snapper Grouper Committee will review comments from the public hearings for Snapper Grouper Regulatory Amendment 33, which considers options for modifying the red snapper season.

 

  • Best Fishing Practices and Use of Powerhead Gear - The Snapper Grouper Committee will continue to discuss proposed requirements for the use of descending devices, venting tools, and circle hooks, as well as changes to restrictions on powerhead gear. The Council is scheduled to approve Snapper Grouper Regulatory Amendment 29 for formal secretarial review.

 

  • Dolphin Wahoo- The committee will continue to discuss management options for both dolphin and wahoo to include in draft Amendment 10 to the Dolphin Wahoo Fishery Management Plan.
