Coral Advisory Panel

The Coral Advisory Panel (C AP) is comprised of regional representatives with expertise in research, conservation, and management of coral, coral reef, and live /hard bottom habitat in the South Atlantic region. The C AP provides guidance to the Council on activities affecting benthic habitats and research needs to understand and conserve shallow water and deepwater ecosystems essential to numerous finfish and crustacean species managed by the Council.  

The C AP meets in person or via webinar as needed to address issues pertaining to the conservation of resources managed through the Council’s Coral, Coral Reefs, and Live Hard Bottom Habitat of the South Atlantic Region.
