- Designated 30 artificial reef sites in the EEZ off NC as SMZ, within these zones, the harvest of SG species would is only allowed with handline, rod and reel, and spear. All other gear would be limited to the recreational bag limit for the species.

The Council votes to approve the amendment and send it to NOAA Fisheries.
