The Council will hold two public hearings, one virtual and one in-person, pertaining to Joint Amendment 11 to the Fishery Management Plan (FMP) for Coral, Coral Reefs, and Live/Hard Bottom Habitats of the South Atlantic Region and Amendment 12 to the Fishery Management Plan for Shrimp of the South Atlantic region. This amendment establishes a shrimp fishery access area (SFAA) along the northeastern edge of the Oculina Bank Habitat Area of Particular Concern (OHAPC).
The webinar public hearing will take place on Tuesday, August 5th, beginning at 6 p.m. The in-person public hearing will take place on Thursday, August 7th, beginning at 6 p.m. Public hearing materials will be posted as they are available.
