The South Atlantic Fishery Management Council is hosting an online scoping of Snapper Grouper Amendment 61 to the Fishery Management Plan (FMP) for Snapper Grouper the South Atlantic region. This amendment determines the need for conservation and management of 17 snapper grouper species.
Scoping is an early step in the development of an amendment, in which the Council solicits public input on what actions and alternatives should (or should not) be considered in an amendment.
Clarifying questions about the posted materials can be directed to the staff contacts. Comments can be posted online, by mail, or by fax from October 27th to November 14th.
