Lines of Communication Meetings RESCHEDULED for North Carolina

The South Atlantic Fishery Management Council has rescheduled its Lines of Communication: Conversations with the Council meetings for North Carolina due to inclement weather during the originally planned February dates. The meetings will now be held March 23–26, 2026, including a new location in Southern North Carolina.

The Lines of Communication initiative allows fishermen and other stakeholders to speak directly with Council Members in an informal, conversational setting. These are not public hearings, but open discussions designed to encourage two-way dialogue and mutual learning. Participants can share concerns, discuss topics impacting their fisheries, and learn more about the management process.

The North Carolina meetings will be held from 6–8 p.m. at the following locations:

The meetings are open to anyone interested in federal fisheries management. Registration is not required, but RSVP’s (including those that had previously done so) are encouraged to assist with planning.
