The Council’s Seminar Series continues this coming Tuesday with a presentation from Angler’s Atlas, a digital platform that has been collecting fisheries data from anglers since 2018 through its mobile application MyCatch.
Next week’s meeting of the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council will be a busy one, as Council members address federal fishery issues ranging from ways to reduce release mortality in the Snapper Grouper fishery to evaluating the Council’s Citizen Science Program.
Members of the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council will meet June 13-17 to discuss federal fisheries management issues. The meeting will take place at the Marriott Beachside Hotel in Key West, Florida.
Each year, NOAA Fisheries announces the season opening dates for red snapper in federal waters of the South Atlantic, in addition to the recreational season length.
Anyone visiting the Council’s website soon discovers there is a lot of information within its pages, but navigating them can be a challenge. We’re excited to announce that the Council is transitioning to a new website, with launch day scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19th.
