Recreational Reporting Workgroup
About the Workgroup
The Council’s Recreational Reporting Workgroup is investigating the use of state managed permitting and reporting systems for improving catch estimates for private recreational fisheries in the South Atlantic.
Any recommendations from the group will be considered by the Council through the Fishery Management Plan amendment development process.
The workgroup convened three times during 2021 and again in early February 2022 with the intent of finalizing recommendations and presenting to the Council in March 2022.
