Bringing Ecosystem Information Into the Decision-Making Process
In this SAFMC Feature article, we explore a new two-part Resilient Fisheries project that examined how ecosystem information is currently used across the nation’s eight Fishery Management Councils. The project identifies opportunities for the South Atlantic Council to better connect existing information on ocean conditions, climate, habitats, and food webs to fisheries management decisions-helping build a more resilient approach to managing fisheries in a changing ocean.
